Multiple buildings in varying sizes available – Bupb Building, Farmer’s Building, Industrial Building, Roundhouse (Floral Hall) and Women’s Building. John Jay Center for Learning is located in the fully renovated and restored Weiler Building in downtown Portland. This is a wonderful location to host meetings, parties, or special events. All rooms and areas used by John Jay are available for short-term lease when not in use by the center. Some audio-visual equipment is available for an additional fee when renting a room with us. Any areas currently leased by outside entities would not be available unless special permission is granted. John Jay Center for Learning is a smoke-free environment.

Arts Place, Inc. is the premiere community arts facility promoting and supporting the arts as an integral part of daily life in East Central Indiana and West Central Ohio. The unveiling of the 21,000 square foot, $2.9 million facility was celebrated in December 2000, and features a 285-seat state-of-the-art performing arts theatre with full backstage support, three art galleries, two spacious visual arts classrooms, six music studios, two meeting rooms, an arts park complete with a 3000-pound gas kiln and demonstration area, and several large works of public art by regional artists on the grounds.

Conference rooms, gyms and kitchen available to rent for events.

Bearcreek Farms is a privately owned farm, no longer open to the public on a daily basis, but we are more than happy to provide a location with a quaint country setting for that special day. Our grounds have many locations to chose from. Our facilities can also be rented for business meetings, class reunions, birthday and anniversary parties, banquets, baby showers, holiday parties, picnics, rehearsal dinners, graduation parties, large family garage sales, and graduation pictures.

Richards is a family restaurant, which offers homemade soups, broasted chicken and homemade pies. They have a meeting room that holds 50 guests. A number of civic organizations use this facility. This room is also used for birthday parties, showers and family reunions.
