DESCRIPTION:Opening ceremony May 8th at 7:00 a.m. start at Allen County War Memorial to Freedom Park in Portland.  \n\n\n\nWe run dedicated miles to honor and remember each fallen hero who died since the GWOT began. However\, regardless of war or conflict\, branch of service or cause of death\, we ultimately run for them all. We honor their service and sacrifice\, and remember that they each gave up a future so that we could have ours. We give tribute to them by name wherever possible and to the sacrifice of the families they left behind.

DESCRIPTION:Using the model from America’s Run for the Fallen 6\,000 mile tribute\, Honor and Remember Inc. has established the Indiana Run for the Fallen. It is a compilation of runners and support crew whose mission is clear and simple: To run specific miles for every Indiana service member killed as a result in serving during the War on Terror including Operation Iraqi Freedom\, Enduring Freedom and New Dawn. Each mile of sweat and pain and each flag saluted\, is to pay homage to one service member’s life and their family. \n\n\n\nThis event begins in Fort Wayne\, with the Day 1 route ending in Portland and Day 2 route starting in Portland.
